Welcome to Hardwood Signs and thank you for visiting my site. I have run my increasingly successful business for Thirty Five years. I make all the signs myself from start to finish ensuring the highest quality at affordable prices.

Materials:
The signs are available in mainly the two following hardwoods. Both are ideal for exterior and interior signs. Other Hardwoodsigns are available on enquiry so please ask.

Oak is one of the most durable hardwoods available and has a beautiful deep grain.
Sapele is a very durable hardwood with a deeper shade of red than the meranti.

	From taking the order the names or numbers are then stencilled on to the chosen wood. They are then routered out to a depth of approximately 5mm freehand.
	The signs are then sanded down to a smooth finish, the letters or numbers are then painted in with a black exterior gloss before going through an oil process to make them weather proof.
	The signs are finished with up to five coats of an exterior Oil Finish to minimise the need for maintenance. To keep the signs in top condition it is advised to maintain with a couple of light coats of Oil 2 or 3 times a year to prevent the seal being broken.

The signs can be used for anything that you wish from Houses, Chalets, Caravans, Stables, Pets, and information signs in offices or business.
